FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN

Bette and Joan, the first installment of the new FX anthology series from Ryan Murphy, tells the story of the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) during their collaboration on the Academy Award®-nominated thriller What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, and well after the cameras stopped rolling. The series explores how the two women endured ageism, sexism, and misogyny while struggling to hang on to success and fame in the twilight of their careers.

In addition to Academy Award winners Lange and Sarandon, the cast includes Alfred Molina as the film’s director Robert Aldrich, Stanley Tucci as studio titan Jack Warner, Judy Davis as gossip columnist Hedda Hopper, Jackie Hoffman as Crawford’s housekeeper Mamacita, and Alison Wright as Aldrich’s assistant Pauline. 

Notable guest stars include Dominic Burgess as Crawford and Davis’ co-star Victor Buono, Catherine Zeta-Jones as film star Olivia de Havilland, Sarah Paulson as Geraldine Page, Kathy Bates as Joan Blondell and Kiernan Shipka as B.D., Bette Davis’ daughter. 

Ryan Murphy serves as Executive Producer along with Executive Producers Dede Gardner of Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, Tim Minear and Alexis Martin Woodall. The series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios.

Η BARBRA STREISAND GUEST ΣΤΟ AMERICAN HORROR STORY;

Μία φωτογραφία κυκλοφόρησε στα Social Media από το Twitter της Barbra Streisand που προκάλεσε συζητήσεις.

Η φωτογραφία τραβήχτηκε στο σπίτι της μεγάλης καλλιτέχνιδας και του συζύγου της James Brolin κατά τη διάρκεια soire  που οργάνωσαν , με καλεσμένους τη Lady Gaga που θα πρωταγωνιστήσει στο American Horror Story 5 , το δημιουργό της σειράς Ryan Murphy , τον πρωταγωνιστή του στη νέα του σειρά American Crime Story John Travolta , και τη σύζυγό του τελευταίου  Kelly Preston.

Σε αυτή τη φωτογραφία προστέθηκε και η λήψη που ανέβασε στο λογαριασμό της η ίδια η Gaga, όπου παίρνει μαζί με τη Streisand συγχρονισμένη πόζα αλά Funny Girl.

Μετά από αυτές τις αναρτήσεις άρχισε ένα όργιο φημών για επικείμενη συμμετοχή έκπληξη της Streisand στο American Horror Story 5 με ένα ρόλο γκεστ ή ένα πέρασμα υποδυόμενη τον εαυτό της.

Πολλά θα μπορούσαν να συμβούν σε αυτόν τον κύκλο δεδομένου ότι η αποχώρηση , προσωρινή ή μόνιμη, της Jessica Lange , ώθησε τους δημιουργούς της σειράς σε μία διαφορετική προσέγγιση και φιλοσοφία.

Ούτως ή άλλως επίκειται και το remake του σπουδαίου μιούζικαλ Gypsy με πιθανότερες πρωταγωνίστριες τη Streisand και τη Gaga και σκηνοθέτη-παραγωγό τον Murphy. Οπότε η συγκεκριμένη σύναξη δε θα έπρεπε οπωσδήποτε να πυροδοτήσει φήμες και σενάρια για την εμφάνιση ή μη της Babs στο American Horror Story: Hotel.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY 4: FREAK SHOW

American Horror Story: Freak Show is the upcoming fourth season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story. It is set to premiere on October 8, 2014.

The fourth season will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1952.  It will be centered around one of the few remaining freak shows at the time, as its members do anything to keep the business alive. The season will focus on the conflict between the freaks and the "evil forces" who do not understand them.The season will also feature a "clown killer" and a "bearded lady".

Cast and characters

Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, described as a "German expatriate" who manages one of the last remaining freak shows in Jupiter, Florida

Sarah Paulson as Bette and Dot Tattler, conjoined twin sisters and performers in the freak show

Kathy Bates as Effil Darling, a bearded lady, mother of Peters' character, ex-wife of Chiklis' character and a performer in the freak show

Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree,a three-breasted woman, wife of Chiklis' character and a performer in the freak show

Frances Conroy as TBA, a performer in the freak show

Michael Chiklis as Wendell Del Toredo,  father of Peters' character, ex-husband of Bates' character, husband of Bassett's character and the strongman of the freak show

Denis O'Hare as TBA, described as a "collector of freaks" and a "rival to Lange's character"

 Evan Peters as Jimmy Darling, son of Bates' and Chiklis' characters and a performer in the freak show

John Carroll Lynch as Twisty, the "clown killer"
